I’ve been a traveler most of my life. As a child it was across the country with my family on various camping adventures. Later, with friends exploring the surrounding regions and the annual ski trip to New Mexico or Colorado. My work in the broadcast and audio/visual industries gave me more chances to travel throughout the US, Canada and Mexico.
Just when I thought I had seen all I cared to, the internet introduced me to people on the other side of the planet. My online conversations peaked my interest and next thing I new, I found myself in a new and unfamiliar location. At first I was a frightened, then uncomfortable and finally exhilarated at all that was around me.
From that moment on, I knew that travel was my passion and nothing would keep me from striving for more. But, even more, I wanted to share my experiences with others.
Although many of my travels take me to Central and Eastern Europe, I find more and more places on my to-do list. Of all the places I’ve been, Slovakia holds my greatest interest. I have been lucky enough to visit it several times and have many more places to explore. My German heritage also pulls me there, especially during the holiday season. Finally, as I said earlier, my European friends help me with many of my decisions of where to visit next.
When I’m not overseas, I have a lot to explore at home also. I live in North Texas and have one of the largest, most varied and historic states to explore and share with everyone. Not to mention the surrounding states that have much to share.
My primary career as a technician also has me looking for the best and newest gadgets to help me with my travels. I will try and share what I have found and maybe even answer a few questions about items that you have found or wondered about.
I hope you will stick around and see what I have to share.
